WaterField

waterfield

My recent purchase from WaterField finally came in the mail today. The product speaks for itself, quality material assembled with great care. However, the cherry on top from my whole shopping experience was when a postcard and a handwritten thank you note fell out of the postal box. That small gesture made it a personal encounter. I was quickly transformed from a customer to a long distance pal. That five seconds it took A— to write a note, it engaged  someone thousands of miles away as a loyal customer and fan of their company. Lesson: short  hand written notes> eloquent email.

Office Supplies

officeBeing forced to be a nomadic entrepreneur to save every penny we can, I see myself traveling light. These are the three things my “office” needs at all time:

Leather Journal– Having the memory of a guppy I need to write down and sketch everything in this black leather bound journal. From important dead lines and prototype sketches all the way to illegible late night brain storms.

Macbook Pro 15″ with Retina Display– Light, powerful, and my purchase of the decade. Thank you Visa. No thank you EPA.

Kindle Keyboard– This model of Kindle was very looked over. Sure it doesn’t have a touch screen, an app store to download games, or the ability to face time via color hd front cam. However it has what a kindle was made to be and more. Equipped with free 3G web-browser and enough memory to store all the digital books I can afford. The keyboard enables me to take notes while reading books and even update tweets and emails. Nothing fancy. Did I mention 3G de complimentary. Free is always good, good enough to mention twice.
